“ Really enjoyed their German pork knuckle dish. Crispy but yet the meat is tender & falls apart when you cut through & eat it. Had a few beers to go with it. Perfect for dinner. ”

“ As a Holland Village pub it could do far worse, but as a purveyor of classic Bavarian fare it's no match for even Brotzeit, yet alone the nearby Huber's or the now-dead Frieda. That said, the fact that they open and serve food till fairly late (10+ pm) is a great plus in their book, and service is friendly and fairly prompt, though to be fair the place was pretty empty on a Sunday night. Decent variety of your run of the mill witbiers, though their relatively more special in-house brew, the Helles, was out the night we visited Ok: - Sausage platter. Sausages were okay, if a little salty and not really having enough bite. Mash was way too runny. Sauerkraut out of a jar. Honestly, for a repast that's available this late at night I can't fault them overly much for the TV-dinner quality of food on hand. ”

“ Service staffs are very friendly and helpful. Food and beer is pretty good, love their beef stew, it's so full of favour The curry sausage is a bit strange, the curry is sweet! German style curry I assume ”

“ Was here decades ago when it had the first German pork knuckle and beer. Decided to give it a try again after many others. The place was surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. Not only for Baden, but the rest of Holland Village too. Got a good spacious place seated inside as there were lots of cigarette smoke outside. Ordered the pork knuckle and had 2 pints of beer. Have to say that the pork knuckle was very well done. Very crispy on the outside, and soft and succulent on the inside. I have to say though that the meat was not as juicy as it should be. But nevertheless, it was still good and much much better than the other popular German outlets. Was served by a quiet and strange non-responsive Sikh wait staff. Not that alert, and certainly unsure of what our order was. He also spoke very softly and quite intelligibly. However, I have to say that he was polite and obviously wanted to be good at his work. Finally, the place was quiet and great for a dinner. Will definitely be back for the pork knuckle and beer if I longed for any of these. ”

“ Unpretentious, cosy and delicious! What's delicious? Both the drinks and food. Love the beef cubes and pork knuckles. Wash down with beer or Guinness and its a perfect night out. Good alone, or with friends. ”

“ Came on a Friday evening. Great HH prices until 9pm at $12 per pint for erdinger weissbier and dunkel. Order a currywurst with fries to share. Pretty tasty. Service is prompt and not crowded at all. Though one can hear the conversation from the next table. ”
